Wilson's Fourteen Points

President Woodrow Wilson proposed Fourteen Points to help stop future wars and adjust a plan to last peace. One of the points were for countries to reduce the production of weapons. Since we are still in a war to this day, the production of guns and weapons have not decreased. We have been coming out with more deadly and harmful weapons. Another point of Wilson's was to allow freedom of the seas. Anyone was allowed to travel outside of the territorial waters but they could be closed. Wilson's tenth point was to allow the people of Austria-Hungary to have self-determination. He wanted them to decide for themselves on what government to live under. The ninth point was to readjustment the frontiers of Italy where they could clearly see the lines of nationality. I feel like the most effective point that would prevent war would be the the ninth point. I think that because they are trying to distinctly determine what is supposed to be given there. By making Italy prove what nationality was going to be in that country, no one was going to get it mixed up and everyone would be fully aware of what was going on in this country.
